A quick update

Janice is as busy as ever so I offered to do a quick blog update on her behalf, I hope I do her justice!

Over the winter about 300 cats were caught and neutered, in three weeks in february alone 111 were done. Thankfully the loyal supporters of the german charity Tierhilfe de Menorca and another german charity helped pay for this work. There have also been generous donations from the Menorca Charity Players, the Ladies Luncheon and Nigel Matten's kayaking expedition around Isla de Colom. Yet the bills continue to come in, the food bill over the winter ran upto 4700 euros so please, please send Janice your donations or when on the island visit the shop on a sunday. There are lots of new lines in gifts and cards so its definately worth a visit.

Cats are being fed, treated and neutered all over the island. Just a few examples of the latest work are two sites in Mahon, one in the centre due to be developed where Janice spent night after night gaining the trust of a cat colony to rescue them, and one near a take-away where over several days a couple of males and 12 females were caught and neutered. At another site near Alayor 7 pregnant females were caught and a small colony of mainly female cats were spayed at Addaya.

This is just a small account of some of the work Janice is doing, every day she is out continuing this work, but when she can she'll update you here so keep checking!
